annamarie: I’m excited to announce that The Daily Face will soon be a book! Coming in 2014, published by Chronicle Books. Tell everyone you know! My favorite person is now my favorite published author. This book has been and will be a big undertaking and I can’t wait to see it. I’m so proud of her and soon you will be too. So keep an eye out for THE DAILY FACE book. 2014.  I am sure I will be called upon to model for it. I am PREPARED to do that PSYCHOLOGICALLY. I know this sweet little face of mine can turn heads.

annamarie: I wrote an essay about my relationship with Margot Tenenbaum that you can read in the new issue of Afterzine, along with tons of other essays by great people.  Order it here and spread the word by peer pressuring your friends to order it too!!    I was pretty delighted by how much Annamarie has in common with Margot Tenenbaum when I read her essay. I hope she doesn’t “make a cuckold out of me…many times over” like Margot did to Raleigh St Clair, even though I have a real Raleigh vibe when we are home together. Go order Afterzine. It looks very cool.

While in Austin this past weekend John, Joe Mande and I found almost all the locations from Friday Night Lights.  John did his Buddy Garrity impression for most of the tour, which may account for why Joe only joined us on the first day of sight seeing.  Yes, we did spend two days doing this. 

It did take two days and it was completely worth it. For the record my Buddy Garrity impression is very very good. Some of the words I say best as him are “Lyla” and “Eric!” and of course, “the Boosters.” Saying the Boosters really helps me get into it. The best part of the tour for me was when we were at the real life Panther field (a functioning high-school called Pflugerville High) and I tried to take a photo of the real Panther athletes. Joe Mande correctly pointed out it was bad to photograph high school boys. Point taken.
